Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors and staff with a welcoming and helpful demeanor
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
  • Coordinate patient registration and insurance verification processes efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate smooth patient flow and resolve issues promptly
Patient Access Specialist Requirements:
  • Must have recent healthcare/patient access experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate healthcare systems
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Empathetic and patient-focused approach in handling inquiries and concerns
