Radiation TherapistAbout the Role:

The Radiation Therapist embodies the mission, vision, and values of NMH, adhering to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, while complying with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.

This role delivers high-quality and compassionate radiation therapy treatments to patients at the NMH Cancer Center, ensuring accuracy and precision in every simulation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instructs and prepares patients for radiation therapy or simulations, providing individualized attention and care.
  • Demonstrates expertise in treatment protocols and utilizes pertinent equipment to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Prepares necessary supplies and equipment for accurate positioning and treatment delivery.
  • Assesses patient pain and communicates effectively with physicians to ensure timely intervention.
  • Provides direct patient care under supervision, recording medical histories and administering care according to individual needs.
  • Administers personalized care considering specific patient requirements, abilities, and comfort levels.
  • Maintains a safe environment adhering to CDH Environment of Care policies and infection control standards.
Requirements:Essential Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an approved Radiation Therapy program (2- or 4-year) or radiography combined with a 1-year Radiation Therapy program.
  • ARRT certification within 3 months of graduation.
  • IEMA/IDNS certification within 3 months of graduation.
  • Physical demands require lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling force up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's of Science degree.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.

Estimated Salary: $73,750 - $93,000 per year
