Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Design Engineer at Brownmed. The Design Engineer will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to design engineering and product development. This includes utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software, maintenance of ISO 9001 documentation, product drawings and QC fault lists, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to product design and improvement. The role is located in Boston, MA, with an opportunity for remote work 1 - 2 days per week.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Fusion 360 and other software platforms
  • Self-starter who is flexible, solutions oriented and able to pivot quickly to create opportunity.
  • Experience in product design and development
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Design, Engineering or related field
  • Experience in the medical device industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of EDI, ISO 9001, CE and FDA helpful.
