The Transmission Business Developer will direct the development and execution of a plan ensuring transmission expansion in California’s North Coast occurs in a manner and timescale that aligns with the needs of RWE’s Canopy Offshore Wind project.
Responsibilities:
Direct internal and external resources on development of strategy, including both regulatory and commercial opportunities
Manage subject matter experts to scope/execute analyses and interpret data required to support strategy
Oversee execution of workstreams by directing and coordinating resources in the transmission, government affairs, permitting and development teams
Present and report progress and findings within project team, SteerCo and management
Coordinate and collaborate across project teams to ensure alignment of all interfaces
Represent RWE on relevant industry forums and working groups, and align with industry partners on finding synergies and opportunities that facilitate project schedule
Requirements:
Out-of-the-box thinker with a growth mindset who can identify creative opportunities
Active networker with ability to build coalitions and create support for implementing identified opportunities
Comprehensive interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build and maintain business relationships
Knowledge and experience in transmission planning and project development, ideally in relation to CAISO, CPUC, CEC, or transmission developer
Familiarity with regulatory process preferred, including experience participating in market stakeholder processes
Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience preferred
Pay range:
The annual base salary range for this position in California $165,000.00 min - $230,000.00 max . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
