POSITION TITLE HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

DEPARTMENT HUMAN RESOURCES

REPORTS TO HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Assistant reports to the Human Resources Manager and is responsible for providing professional HR administrative and general affairs support for HR management and team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Provide HR administrative support for HR management and team members.

•Organize, compile, and update company personnel records and documentation.

•Keep and update HR databases with information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, vacation and days off, etc.

•Coordinates recruitment efforts with headhunters / recruiters as needed for difficult to hire positions.

•Screens resumes, prescreens candidates via phone screens, communicates with the hiring managers, sets up onsite and online interviews, extends job offers and follows up with the candidates until they are hired.

•Assist HR Manager and corporate attorneys regarding immigration and visa status.

•Perform other administrative duties as required such as invoice payments, filing, answering employee questions, etc.

•Create access badges for employees.

•Provide assistance in employee events and various HR projects.

•Prepare, manage, and store paperwork for HR Policies and Procedures.

•May assist other members of the HR Team as required to include assisting with data entry in to HRIS system, benefits and time and attendance employee assistance.

•Supports EHS objectives.

•Create and Maintain HR reports for HR Management

•Help organize and assist with new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.

•Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE:

•Bachelor's degree in business administrator or HR from an accredited institution university preferred.

•1 - 3 years of experience in an HR role dealing with recruitment, General Affairs, HR Reporting, and HR office assistance required.

Strong MS-Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related computer software skills required.

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•Experience with recruitment and visa support preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:N/A

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Primarily office work environment with plant floor visits as necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift up to 25lbs

•Ability to focus for extended periods of time

•Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

•Fulltime, Dayshift;

•Overtime work may be required during the workweek or on a weekend.
