Considerations : This role spends a significant amount of time on the telephone, working through email, virtual meetings, and as needed face to face with customers. The ideal person must be resilient, energetic, willing to learn, and able to engage customers in discussions that underline the value CGM can bring to their operations. Need to learn the buying process and why customers purchase from Chicago Glue & Machine.
A Chicago Glue & Machine Technical Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing existing business. They are tasked with building and growing relationships with key decision makers within accounts. They must learn the ins and outs of customers various adhesive applications and adhesive dispensing equipment. They are responsible for generating leads, qualifying prospects, and acquiring new business.

Full Time : Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, availability on mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed

Reports to : Sales Manager
Direct Reports : None

Primary Responsibilities :
Drive repeatable and profitable sales expansion with a focus on acquiring new and engaging existing customers
Managing inbound inquiries, qualifying opportunities, sampling, quoting, and updating CRM
Manage pipeline in CRM
Build and maintain a working knowledge of CGM capabilities, adhesive applications, equipment, and adhesive industry
Participate in training/coaching opportunities
Act as a member of the Chicago Glue & Machine Sales team by working to develop and implement sales strategies that help us continually improve
Manage growth, maintain, and develop core business, achieve sales targets, control expenses and obtain market share.
Gather and analyze market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer forecasts and trends
Work with targeted accounts on new applications, product approval, testing, and business plans.
Develop long-term relationships and coordinate sales efforts.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in

technical/mechanical

or marketing field (or equivalent experience).
1-2 years professional sales experience, directly managing and supporting accounts and multiple technical product lines.
Demonstrated experiences and sales results in sales, prospecting, and new business development.
Proven experience & ability to work independently as well as in team environment.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
Valid Driver's License and car insurance with reliable car.
Travel 20%-30%

Work is performed indoors, in normal office setting. Trips to customers locations have varying conditions.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
