Facilities Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:15pm.
Main Function:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician role supports the Maintenance Department with building facilities activities as well as housekeeping functions. This role will perform all the preventive and corrective maintenance needed in our building (Mini splits, dehumidifiers, etc.) and will be trained to support also our manufacturing equipment (Spin, Test strips, Test tabs, etc.).
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Attend all the building maintenance calls.
2. Perform all the PMs assigned.
3. Restocks pantry consumables.
4. Performs housekeeping activities as needed.
5. Fills out checklist for weekly supplies ordering.
6. Performs all the work orders assigned.
7. Performs daily walks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.
8. Supports maintenance technicians with manufacturing calls as needed.
Miscellaneous:
•Participates in the maintenance department improvement projects
•Assists in other department activities as needed and performs other duties as assigned
•Complies with all Company policies (i.e. personnel, safety, etc.)
Requirements
Qualifications/Job Requirements:
•Competency in Math.
•Ability to read and understand equipment instructions and manuals.
•Displays ability in building and construction tasks strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
•Displays electrical skills and safety practices.
•Displays competency with plumbing and HVAC systems.
•Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.
•Must be ethical and professional.
•Must be able to lift fifty pounds and can work in an outside environment as needed.
Environmental Factors & Physical Demands:
•Works indoors and outdoors as needed.
•Is required to operate hand and power tools as needed.
•Requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, transporting up to fifty pounds, handling a loaded pallet jack, operating a computer, and operating various equipment as needed.
•Requires good manual dexterity and ability to operate various equipment.
