Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc).SUMMARYWesterman, Inc. is seeking a Custodian/Maintenance Technician who has working mechanical knowledge in addition to excellent custodial skills. As a custodian/maintenance tech, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility including offices, bathrooms, break rooms, and the plant. A successful candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.RESPONSIBILITIES:Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees. Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Other duties as required and assigned. Clean offices, lobby, restrooms, break rooms, locker areas, outdoor break areas, and shop floor. Duties include picking up debris, restocking supplies, cleaning and sanitizing toilets, sinks and surfaces, cleaning windows and mirrors, dusting and removing cobwebs, cleaning drink dispensers, refrigerators, microwaves, and floor care. Ensure drains are working properly or unclog as needed. Clean water dispensers, fountains, and eye wash areas. Know and use chemicals safely, following instructions and wearing appropriate PPE. Remove trash from plant, office, and cafeteria area. Floor care, including sweeping, mopping and scrubbing tile floors and vacuuming and cleaning carpeted floors. Floor care includes using the Zamboni machine on the shop floor. Clean windows and windowsills. Keep inventory of supplies and order when necessary. Take instructions and guidance from how the cleaning schedule will be issued Maintain exterior of the building (mow grass remove debris, snow removal on sidewalks and spread salt in snow weather) and anything else requested Make sure to use clean tools (mod head, mop bucket water, rags, sponges, etc.) Other duties as required or assigned.REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent required 0-1 years work experience in a related craft required Basic math skills required Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication required Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable MVR as determined by the insurance carrier and the Company's Vehicle Use PolicyDESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year minimum related experience and/or training as a custodian/ maintenance tech. Safety: Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practices by promoting a safe work environment. Communication Skills: Speaks in the most effective way to relay information. Listens and asks questions to ensure understanding. Self-management skills: Uses time efficiently to complete tasks. Good problem-solving skills, safety practices, and attention to quality Proficient organizational skills Entry level maintenance experience Have workbench and computer skills Meter usage and ability to complete measurements May require CPR and first aid training Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined spaced training Experience with plumbing preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift. Must be able to exert moderate to heavy physical effort with lifting requirement up to 50 pounds. Must have strong range of motion. Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend. Must be able to see, speak, and hear. Must be able to read instructions and all measuring devices. Must use fingers and hands to manipulate tools and small parts. Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE including seatbelt. Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds. Some aspects of this position may require working in tight quarters. Some aspects of this position may require close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus.
