Creates inclusive communication strategies and content to advance initiatives and programs in the Support Services Department. Designs, implements, and maintains programs focused on career growth and development for employees to map out their career with the organization. Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives connected to communication, employee engagement, and development programs and initiatives. Assists with budget preparation and administration for Human Resources related expenses; prepares cost estimates and justifications for budget items; and monitors expenses to align with budget allocated. Provides recommendations and strategies to improve communication with employee groups and expand employee development programs. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of programs that promote employee engagement and development by having a systematic method of tracking, compiling, and analyzing the data. Keeps current on trends and innovations with employee engagement, communication, and development. Represents the City of Casper by responding to the public, citizens, its employees, and others in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner while continuously maintaining a positive customer service demeanor. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources or a related field involving communication and employee development or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed below. LICENSING and CERTIFICATIONS Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Wyoming driver’s license preferred. Certification in Employee Engagement or Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM) is desirable. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Incumbents in this position work indoors in an office environment and are subject to the common noises associated with office work including telephones, copiers, and printers.
