The Workers Compensation Specialist participates as an integral and cooperative team member in achieving department-related goals for the agency. We are seeking an individual who has/is:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful self-starter with strong problem solving skills who gets things done.

DUTIES:
  • Manage Workers Compensation claims in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Manage all O.S.H.A. tracking and reporting requirements for the entire agency.
  • Satisfy obligations to the workers compensation trust and its service team; audits, site-inspections, and safety meetings.
  • Conduct debriefings and workplace investigations. Recommend preventive measures to program managers and ensure implementation.
  • Responsible for creating and distributing reports and communications related to health and safety.
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful demeanor to staff, vendors, program managers, and administrative staff across the agency, which supports the agency's mission statement and values.
  • Perform other assignments appropriate to the position as determined by the Senior Health & Safety HR Business Partner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates degree in HR, Business, related degree, or equivalent education and/or experience required. Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related degree preferred. Working knowledge of Workers Compensation and OSHA strongly preferred.
