Position Summary: The Entertainment Special Events Supervisor is responsible for leading development, planning, strike and day-to-day maintenance of all entertainment special events assets and associated team responsibilities including Character program. Key Duties and Responsibilities: · Lead strike plans for all park festivals and events such as Fright Fest, Harbor Nights, Viva La Fiesta and other entertainment related park installations. · Play a key role in planning, developing, producing and executing events and other attractions ranging from park wide to department specific. · Assist in the production and daily operation of park entertainment, including all live show productions, character programs, special events, and festivals. · Collaborate with Entertainment team on new projects and goals as well as third-party companies when needed. · Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for show venues, event install and operations and other department specific functions. · Provide creativity and leadership in the development of park entertainment, including live shows, festivals, character programs, festivals, and special events. · Manage Warner Brothers and DC brand/performance quality control of all Character appearances · Manage project timelines for special event implementation to ensure goals and objectives are reached. · Oversee inventory of department assets and ensure equipment is up to standards. · Oversight of organization of department storage areas in relations to event assets. · Supervise and provide leadership to assigned team members. Including recruitment, hiring and retention of Team Members, scheduling, training & development programs, performance evaluations and ensuring compliance all labor laws and with Federal, State, County and Six Flags regulations. · Perform all other duties as assigned by Park leadership. Reporting Structure: · Reports directly to the Entertainment Managerial Supervisor. · Direct oversight of Entertainment Special Events and Character Performer team. Start Date: · Position start date will be in January 2024 · Must be at least 18 years of age. · Two or more years of professional leadership experience. Previous experience in the Entertainment/Theme Park Industry preferred · HS diploma, Theater Education (BA) or (BFA) or equivalent experience preferred · Must possess strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and manage projects to ensure on-time project completion. · Computer literacy. Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. · Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record. Experience working with forklifts, man lifts, scissor lifts and other industrial equipment preferred. · Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong leadership and motivational skills. · Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays. · Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, climb a ladder and safely work from heights frequently throughout full shift and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds safely. Ability to work in environments that are loud, dark, bright, elevated and extreme heat and cold conditions required.
