The Senior Information Security Engineer will report to and support the Information Security Team Lead to provide the highest quality information assurance program to our business teams and customers. The Senior Information Security Engineer will develop and implement security processes and solutions, including the ongoing assessment and compliance with required security guidelines across the enterprise computing environment.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in information security and a proven ability to deliver under pressure and meet deadlines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Configure network and computing systems that enforce security policies and audit controls in an advanced technology environment.
  • Support the priorities planned and organized by the Security Architect by the roadmap for security architecture, including cloud-based initiatives.
  • Lead the design, construction, and implementation phases of complex systems and projects.
  • Support Risk Assessments, Penetration Tests, Vulnerability Assessments, Incident Response and Investigation, and Cybercrime Response.
  • Research emerging technologies in support of security enhancements and application development efforts.
  • Directly support a range of security technology platforms, including, but not limited to, next-generation firewalls, web application firewalls, security information and event management, endpoint security, vulnerability scanners, and others.
  • Serves as a lead mentor, working with other information security team members to improve the teams overall skill levels.


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Must have:

  • 7+ years of experience in Information Security roles of increasing responsibility, resulting in solid familiarity with network and application security.
  • Extensive experience with offensive security tools, concepts, and procedures.
  • Strong ability to understand security concepts and effectively communicate with an Information Security team, IT Operations team, and Application Development team, including all domains of information security.
  • Highly ethical with excellent written communication skills and outstanding analytic, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have:

  • A four-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent post-secondary education and experience is preferred.
  • CSSLP, CCSP, GCIH, GCIA, CCNA, CCNP, ACE, PCNSE, F5-CTS, F5-CSE, Security+, or other pertinent industry-recognized certifications.
  • Experience implementing a cloud-based Security Infrastructure.
  • Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.
