Job Title: Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending/Department Manager Role Summary Legacy Bank seeks an experienced and engaging Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending to join our distinguished community bank. This individual will play a crucial role in leading our commercial lending department, driving growth, managing risk, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional solutions and service to our customers. Equally as vital will be this individual's ability to develop and elevate the commercial loan team members to their full potential, supporting our continued growth and success. Responsibilities Assess commercial loan applications for viability within loan approval authority, bank policies, and guidelines. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan that includes active outreach to current and prospective customers while achieving bank profitability and growth goals and meeting bank risk management objectives. Ensure compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including regular audits and internal loan reviews. Manage and develop direct reports to maximize productivity, including directing job assignments, coaching, and training. Appraise job performance for department team members and provide recommendations for compensation and promotion. Assist Legacy Bank in maintaining its community partnerships and represent our organization as appropriate with customers, civic organizations, and other financial institutions. Be an active and engaged participant as a voting member on Legacy's loan committee. Other duties assigned and aligned with Legacy's strategic goals. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial lending, with a proven record of leadership and success. Experience in residential commercial real estate will put you ahead. Demonstrated expertise in sound business judgment, credit risk management, loan structuring, and financial analysis. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members. Managerial experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
