The Waterpark Supervisor at Island Waterpark is responsible for strengthening the lifeguard team through the delivery of superior service and safety. This person is expected to enhance the waterpark experience for both guests and associates through their personal drive, safety oriented behaviors, and commitment to creating a positive working environment. The Waterpark Supervisor ensures the waterpark team operates smoothly and efficiently so guests can have a safe and enjoyable visit.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssists Park Management in the training, supervision, and coordination of lifeguards in a highly efficient manner, in order to ensure the safety of park guestsPerforms supervisory tasks, including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance managementResponsible for the management of the lifeguards in their assigned areas, enforcing established rules, complying with regulations, and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanorAssists Training Manager with maintaining training documentation and recordsConducts in-service trainings, SOP training, and shadow training as needed.Completes, reviews, and checks required reports daily including accident and injury reports as well as daily inspections; ensures all work is done in compliance with rules, standards, and operational guidelines.Responds to and manages aquatic rescues and events that interrupt the aquatic environment or compromise the safety or any person.Ensures that all guest and associate areas maintain a standard of excellence for cleanliness at all timesEnsures all training requirements and testing procedures are adhered to as set forth by Island Waterpark policies and proceduresMaintains and updates standard operating procedures and training materialsBasic QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderCertification in First Aid, CPR and StarGuard ELITE Lifeguard Training or equivalentBloodborne Pathogens Training
