Description

The Park Services Attendant at Island Waterpark is critical to ensuring an overall clean atmosphere of the waterpark that meets or exceeds brand and guest standards. The Park Services Attendant is responsible for maintaining restroom sanitization, and cleanliness of pool deck areas by collecting and disposing of garbage, wiping down surfaces, stain removal, and overall general cleaning.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the promotion of a safe and professional workplace through adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Island Waterpark handbook and other training material
  • Protects establishment and guests by adhering to cleanliness of the entire Waterpark
  • Interacts with waterpark guests by greeting, answer questions, and responding to requests
  • Performs daily routine chores and maintenance of the Waterpark to ensure overall cleanliness and a neat and orderly appearance, including the cleaning of decks, restrooms, and locker rooms
  • Ensures windows and doorways are free of fingerprints and smudges
  • Ensures that furniture and hard surfaces of public areas are clean and organized; Keeps floors free of debris and spills and empties all waste receptacles in public spaces
  • Cleans and sanitizes Waterpark restrooms and shower areas
  • Ensures walkways are free from debris to prevent guest injury

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum age of 16 years old
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed
  • Meticulous by nature with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proactive and able to initiate tasks and work independently without constant supervision.
  • Strong customer service and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience with sanitation and guest services
  • Previous experience with safe handling and utilization of chemicals according to instructions
  • Must be safety focused and able to think on feet

Physical Requirements

  • Heavy work - Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • Flexible and long hours are sometimes required including weekends and holidays. Time spent may be dictated by the number of clients or groups on property or by the time of the season
  • Ability to move frequently throughout the large facility
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in environmental conditions that include, but are not limited to: Wet and humid environments, indoor tropical environmental conditions with up to 90% humidity and warm temperatures in excess of 70F, as well as outdoor environmental conditions

  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by Associates, Supervisors, Department Heads, Senior Management, and guests
  • Must be able to adapt to a broad range of customer interactions, inquiries, and complaints
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment
  • Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules and the ability to maintain confidential information
