We are seeking a results-driven Director of Performance Improvement to lead operational excellence across the company. This role will proactively monitor and enhance performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions that drive profitability.

As a subject matter expert, you'll develop strategic action plans, partner across departments (Operations, Safety, Risk, Finance, and more), and support key initiatives such as fleet service diversification, claims management, and operational transitions. In collaboration with the corporate maintenance director, you'll also shape a high-performing maintenance function.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Develop and Monitor KPIs: Develop and use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and identify deficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop Corporate Maintenance Capability: Develop robust maintenance KPIs, partnerships, processes, and procedures that enable the company to properly monitor and detect adverse trends in fleet performance and enable proactive response before they adversely impact operational performance.
  • Improve EBIT: Work with operational leaders and GMs to implement action plans that enable them to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities that drive continuous improvement and increase EBIT.
  • Maintenance Subrogation: Engage the field to develop a systematic approach to capturing the information required to subrogate minor (Level 1) safety events.
  • Claims Management: Partner with Risk, Safety, and the field to implement a formalized claims management process designed to ensure claims are actively managed to closure while minimizing costs.
  • Business Growth: Partner with Business Development on the implementation of the company's diversification strategy, especially in the area of fleet maintenance services. Provides project management support for startup and wind-down transitions
Preferred Experience and Education:
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in progressive roles in operations or operational support functions such as safety, quality, maintenance, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in an area such as supply chain management, contracting, procurement, business administration, economics, finance, accounting, statistics, math, or communications. Candidates with a master's degree or MBA preferred.
Travel Requirement:

Ability to travel at least 50% of the time will be expected.
