GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: A cross-functional position reporting to the AVP for Budgets and Financial Planning, the Senior Financial Planning and Data Analyst and Faculty Compensation Specialist is the primary steward for maintaining complete and current information relative to faculty data including salaries, additional appointments, sabbaticals, position control information, status, rank and promotion information as well as tracking NTT annual and multiyear appointments, faculty voting privileges, tenure-track year, leaves, degree attainment, pay rates, etc. In addition, this position is responsible for data calculations for the university's annual classroom economics reporting and maintaining relevant records related to classroom economics and academic program review. This position also provides oversight and validation for enrollment and other data used in the university's budget planning process. This position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity for all aspects of faculty compensation analytics and classroom economics. This position will also provide assistance and support in administering the annual salary program for faculty groups including providing the calculations related to faculty compensation and will provide analytical support to various constituents on campus as needed and requested. JOB SUMMARY: Chief data steward for maintaining faculty data. This includes salaries, assigned workloads, extended and administrative appointments, sabbaticals, new hires, departures, promotions in rank, changes in statuses, tracking annual and multiyear appointments, voting privileges, tenure-track year, leaves, degree attainment, etc. Primary oversight of annual adjustments to faculty compensation, which includes:

Managing a comprehensive process to benchmark faculty salaries based on rank, discipline, and years of service; Calculating cost of living increases based on annual performance review; Calculating promotion awards; Calculating extended/administrative appointments, and; Issuing an electronic detailed faculty salary and workload report (re-appointment letter) for returning faculty.

Provide assistance to college administrators to adjust faculty re-assigned time, teaching credit assignments for instructional activities, and other related items that impact faculty workload and compensation. Provide oversight and management of the paid-by-course instructor compensation approval process and electronic systems:

Maintain and routinely update adjunct pay rates; Activate new adjunct accounts in Banner as part of the onboarding process; Manage pertinent course related data, including teaching credit assignment and course payment types. Routinely monitor and troubleshoot issues with the electronic compensation approval system and the related adjunct contract letters. Track adjunct highest degree attainment.

Maintains pertinent faculty data, which are incorporated as part of the annual faculty FAR process, tenure and promotion process, and NTT promotion in title process. Administrator for the FLAC (faculty load and compensation) inbox. Establish on a bi-annual basis the Constitution Faculty List. Survey administration for the CUPA and AAUP faculty salary surveys and other related surveys on request. Establishes the annual HR full time faculty, staff, and part time instructor censuses; maintains currency with faculty and staff CUPA and SOC position numbers. Responsible for classroom economic data calculations and reporting outcomes, maintaining all multi-year data and calculations. Maintain data integrity for mapping program codes, org codes, faculty load, assigned time, etc. for accurate revenue and expense allocations and related program financial reporting. Reconcile classroom economics data with institutional research to publish data in Tableau as part of the university's annual program review process. Validation of preliminary enrollment reports, financial aid by cohort, and provide multiyear data needed to project returning enrollment and residential student headcount by cohort for budgeting and forecasting purposes. Assist in position control process and maintenance of data used in financial projections and reporting of budgeted salary data as requested. Routinely respond to internal ad hoc requests for reports and analyses. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Required Education: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Required: Experience working in higher education is required, Experience with calculating faculty compensation is preferred. Experience managing databases as well as experience with Ellucian software (including Banner) is required. Strong attention to detail, working with and maintaining large amounts of data and proven problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required. Proven commitment to providing excellent customer service. High degree of initiative and result oriented.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to perform work of a sedentary nature for 7 hours per day.
