Role Overview:
This role is pivotal in supporting audit functions, tax compliance, operational budgeting, month-end financial reporting, and conducting financial analysis along with special projects.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Location:
Onsite - this position will NOT be remote

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial planning and analysis for designated entities.
- Monitor and evaluate financial data against established plans, forecasts, and budgets to identify trends and provide insights into financial performance.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is mandatory.

Certifications:
- CPA is preferred but not required.

Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in financial systems is essential. Experience in budget preparation and analysis is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in developing and utilizing PC-based spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Ability to analyze financial information, including variance and actual-to-budget assessments.
- Capable of making informed recommendations to leadership.

Essential Duties:
- Execute grant-related pre and post-award tasks, including revenue and expense analysis, financial accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Assist departmental leaders in preparing and reviewing the annual operating budget, and guide new managers on the budget system.
- Review budget submissions for accuracy and reasonableness, participating in budget planning discussions.
- Analyze actual-to-budget financial comparisons monthly to pinpoint areas of concern and opportunities for enhancement in future budget cycles.
- Prepare and interpret intricate financial analyses and reports for System management.
- Compile and synthesize financial data for financial statement reviews and maintain accurate financial reports and deliverables.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for general ledger accounts within established deadlines, resolving discrepancies with relevant personnel.
- Prepare and post journal entries according to set timelines.
- Undertake additional related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Decision-Making Authority:
- Exercise independent judgment in planning operational sequences and making minor decisions within a complex technical or professional domain.

Collaborative Relationships:
- Coordinate activities among peers (non-supervisory role).
- Lead team members in similar tasks (non-supervisory role).
- Engage directly with patients and/or customers.
- Interact with internal and/or external customers through various communication channels.
- Collaborate frequently with healthcare professionals and staff, including individuals at the Director level or above.
