Dean's information technology assets associated with mission critical enterprise systems and cloud service offerings managing information for the company and our clients at multiple classification levels. Your will support a range of system operations and cybersecurity processes and functions, including but not limited to the following: Relying on the advanced Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms to monitor and audit system events and alerts, investigate anomalies, as well as unusual or suspicious activities, identify potential incidents, and support incident response tasks; Perform compliance and vulnerability scanning, analyzes findings (vulnerabilities), analyze system exposure, and collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize, plan, implement, and document mitigations; Utilize endpoint protection systems to manage intrusion detection / intrusion protection functions, malware defense, application control policies, and related controls; investigate and respond to anomalies; and provide end-user support related to endpoint operation and use; Generate and analyze system security posture reports, maintain the plan of action of milestones (POA&M), and related documentation; Support the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and engineering teams with development and maintaining policies, plans, procedures and other system operation and cybersecurity documentation. Knowledge and Skills 0-2 year of experience in information technology field, working knowledge and experience with various aspects of technology, including the following: Configuring, deploying, and/or supporting systems running MS Windows or Linux OS Understanding of common network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, SMTP IP networking fundamentals, including addressing, routing and switching, and firewall functions Solid understanding of authentication, authorization, logging and auditing, and other critical cybersecurity concepts and functions and their implementations Strong organizational, communication, research, and analytical skills General Characteristics and Behaviors To succeed in the role, successful candidate will demonstrate a combination of the following critical characteristics and behaviors: Attention to detail and methodical problem-solving Punctuality and dependability in delivering project outcomes Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving technological environment Educations and Certifications BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related technical field Security+ certification or comparable strongly desired Clearance: Applications selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance is desired. Travel: This position will require up to 25% travel. Abilities: Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time. Sitting for extended periods of time. Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction. Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
