Position Description: ThinkTek is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support a project to develop a enterprise-level capability for information management to assess information to support a Common Operating Picture of Risk for the DoD, NISP oversight mission and FOCI Rick Management Requirements. As a Cybersecurity Solution Engineer, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with higher-level solution architects to develop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies and solutions. You will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity, AWS engineering, and subject matter knowledge to ensure the success of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with higher-level solution architects to develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and strategies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in cybersecurity domains such as network security, system security, vulnerability management, incident response, secure software development, and identity and access management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and best practices, including RMF, NIST, FISMA, and DoD cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Develop cybersecurity policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments, and create incident response plans.
  • Support large-scale DoD projects by applying your knowledge of DoD security requirements and best practices.
  • Analyze complex cybersecurity challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external entities to ensure the successful implementation of cybersecurity solutions.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, information systems, or a related field.
  • Strong expertise in specific cybersecurity domains.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant cybersecurity regulations, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience in cybersecurity policy and procedure development, risk assessment and management, and incident response planning.
  • Familiarity with DoD security requirements and experience working on large-scale DoD projects is desirable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
