:

The Infrastructure Automation Systems Engineer will work with internal and external clients to create and implement enterprise policies, procedures, and standards around Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet Enterprise, PKI, and Enterprise Job Scheduling. This position will collaborate with a team of engineers supporting the implementation, continuous improvement of, and management of these platforms. This position requires a deep understanding of one or more technologies, including but not limited to Linux, Kubernetes, Puppet Enterprise, DNS, and ADFS, and knowledge of NAS solutions such as Qumulo and Nasuni.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Define policies, procedures, and standards for implementing and maintaining our infrastructure with Puppet
  • Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with IT policies and procedures
  • Make continuous improvements to our patching and endpoint management solutions
  • Performance monitoring and tuning, support across production and pre-production environments in multiple physical locations
  • Develop Disaster Recovery strategies and business continuity plans
  • Provide regular status reports to stakeholders on tasks accomplished, current issues, and progress toward goals?
  • Automate routine tasks and advanced tasks with PowerShell
  • Recommend and implement improvements in the technologies the team supports as described above
  • Act as a final escalation point for any incidents related to our supported technologies
  • Work closely with other members of the Information Technology team to assist with project implementations and other tasks as requested
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage or emergency response as needed


WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Required

  • 4 or more years of Information Technology experience
  • 2 or more years of experience in a dedicated systems engineering role
  • Extensive enterprise-level knowledge/understanding of Linux, Kubernetes, or Windows Server
  • Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or another language
  • Experience in writing corporate policy, procedure, and standards documentation
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Preferred:

  • BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Mortgage and/or Financial Services industry experience
  • Any recognized IT certifications (VCP, RHCE, CKA, Terraform Associate, etc.)
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with Puppet Enterprise
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Orkes
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Experience with Nasuni, Qumulo, Pure FlashBlade, or other enterprise NAS solutions
