Your Next Career Opportunity - Structural Engineering Coordinator

This position is responsible for supporting the Structural Engineering & Tower Improvement Operations department. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following - tower decommissioning, tower maintenance, tower modifications, tower drop & swaps. Core job duties and responsibilities will also entail due diligence documentation, project tracking and updating internal databases. Provide additional administrative support as required.

What You Will Do - Primary Responsibilities
  • Update the necessary tracking system(s), including the third party management system, to ensure project and program statuses are up to date and accurate.
  • Communicate all Structural Engineering & Tower Improvement Operations related concerns to management in a timely manner.
  • Review of Electronic Industries Alliance / Telecommunication Industry Association tower inspection reports and order necessary repairs through engineering and tower repair partners.
  • Review TIA repair closeout and files as needed.
  • Assist and partner with corrosion engineering consultants on all corrosion related projects while learning and developing knowledge of tower corrosion reporting, assessment and repairs.
  • Research, review and distribute necessary engineering documents, as needed.
  • Review tower engineering and repair documents and escalate inquiries that may require immediate attention and/or additional clarification.
  • Review Cathodic Protection (CP) closeout packages and ensure inspections are scheduled per the CP report recommendations.
  • Assist production-engineering group with daily Structural Analysis (SA) production by load sheet generation, coax layout drawings and finding SA parameters, such as wind speed and exposure category.
  • Create and distribute department specific correspondence as needed.
  • Maintain and sustain positive working relationships with vendors, consultants and service partners.
  • Issue vendor purchase orders as needed.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
What You'll Need - Qualifications & Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or related field of study; Construction Technology Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred;
    • and 0-2 years years' experience in Construction or Site Development in the wireless telecommunications industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and intermediate proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
