Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations of general ledger accounts and review of trial balances. Support the valuation of portfolio investments, including conducting research, analyzing financial data, and preparing valuation models. Assist with the due diligence process for potential acquisitions and divestitures, including reviewing financial statements, contracts, and other relevant documents. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment professionals, legal counsel, and external auditors, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to private equity and the oil and gas sector. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with exposure to private equity and/or the oil and gas industry preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with experience in portfolio company valuation preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, such as Oracle or NetSuite.
