We are seeking a full-time Patient Call Center Associate to join our team at JISF The Patient Access/Call Center Associate will work in a fast-paced medical environment and be the first point of contact for patients within our organization. This crucial position collects patient information and schedules appointments with the appropriate practitioner.

Expectations include:

  • Answering all incoming calls in a call center setting
  • Process and schedule digital referrals
  • Exercise utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for all callers
  • Building rapport quickly with callers
  • Collecting and verifying patient demographic information, billing, and insurance information
  • Verifying and updating existing patient information
  • Handle patient inquiries and help guide them to the right provider
  • Schedule patients according to practitioner availability
  • Educate callers on Practice's Policies and Procedures
  • Transfers calls to the correct department, as needed
  • Work with coworkers to continuously ensure adequate phone coverage
  • Abide by confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with Practice's Policies and HIPAA requirements.
  • Exercise problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills when needed
Schedule: FULL TIME, Monday - Thursday, 7:50 am - 5 pm and Fridays 7:50 am - 3 pm (actual schedule may vary and depend on needs of department)

Preferred
  • Previous Call Center and/ or customer service
  • Ability to type a minimum of 30 WPM
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical records systems
