LMI is seeking a skilled junior logistics analyst. The junior logistics analyst to provide day-to-day analytical and strategic logistics support services to the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment (ODASD(Logistics)). DASD(Logistics) serves as a principal staff assistant and advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment (ASD(S)), Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment (USD(A&S)), and Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) on logistics and materiel readiness in the Department of Defense (DoD) and is the principal logistics official within the senior management of the DoD. Come join the organization consistently ranked as a top workplace Responsibilities Support Operational Contract Support program for the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Logistics (DASD(Log)) Provide support to government organizations such as the OSD Staff, the Joint Staff, and the Combatant Commanders in the areas of Operational Contract Support and Vendor Threat Mitigation to ensure enterprise wide efficient, cost effective end-to-end performance. Work with a diverse set of stakeholders in geographically disbursed areas. Analyze and assess DoD and other government agency logistics and supply chain policies and procedures against current performance metrics and make recommendations on policy and/or process improvements. Provide administrative and technical writing support for the successful maintenance and update of DoD and other government agency operational contract support and vendor threat mitigation issuances and directives. Prepare and finalize correspondence including letters, memoranda, briefings, speeches, presentations, meeting minutes, and reports. Maintain communication mediums including distribution lists, rosters, and SharePoint sites. Schedule internal and external meetings, including reservation of conference space, notification to attendees, parking requests, visitor access control and all arrangements from set-up to completion. Assist/Manage government lead calendar. Develop itineraries and coordinate with internal/external individuals and groups. Arrange travel and assist in submitting resultant expense reports. Perform general office duties: maintain paper and electronic files and databases, photocopy, fax and prepare mailings. Coordinate maintenance of common office equipment and supplies along with IT systems refresh coordination and compliance. Maintain confidential or sensitive information and documents. Performs liaison with staffs of high-level government officials, private industry, special interest, and user groups. Responds to inquiries on policy and other matters on behalf of and consistent with the government leads views. Understanding of DoD policy coordination process/systems (e.g. CATMS); Ability to manage and accomplish multiple tasks with limited information.

Qualifications

MINIMUM Bachelors Degree. A major in logistics, business analytics and/or other sustainment background is preferred but not required. Two years relevant experience required. Prior military or DoD civilian/contractor experience (preferred). Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Superior communication skills, both oral and written. High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry as well as Pentagon staff members. Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment. Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.

This position requires an active security clearance at the SECRET level. You must be a US citizen. DESIRED Prior military/civilian OSD or Service staff experience
