JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Marketing Specialist Department: Marketing

Status: Exempt Effective Date: April 2024

Reports to: Marketing Assistant Manager

Summary of Position:

As a key member of the Marketing Team, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for start to finish tradeshow coordination for shows throughout the year, marketing communication, acting as brand steward for collateral assets and sales execution. S/he is responsible for marketing communication internally and to the Sales Organization. S/he will assist in managing collateral and the product image library for accuracy of content and will provide support for sales execution as well as department, agency and company support as needed.

Tradeshow Coordination:

  • Plans and organizes events in alignment with both financial and time constraints. Oversees and tracks event budgets.
  • Secures vendor conference contracts which may include annual association membership status, sponsorships, badge registrations, booth space, furnishings, utilities, hotel accommodations, meal reservations, etc.
  • Manages all tradeshow logistics: booth assignment, booth layout, palletizes show elements for shipment and attends events as needed.
  • Responsible for preshow ordering of product samples as well as facilitating return shipment of company assets back to BNJ post event.
  • Regularly interacts with internal/external stakeholders and collates information for review with Sales prior to show.
  • Procures supplies as needed through the year.
Marketing Communication/ Collateral Integrity:
  • Socializes marketing campaigns and events to BNJ associates via BNJ TV and in quarterly Newsletters in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Issues monthly memo to Sales on upcoming marking campaign activity and events.
  • Ensures collateral is always accurate on BNJ WebShop, BNJ Website and FSE document portal.
Sales Execution:
  • Assists with inventory management and restocking of premium giveaway items.
  • Coordinates asset delivery direct to sales associate, broker or with a baked sample order through Tech Services.
  • Assists on special projects for the sales team or executives as assigned by manager.
  • Assists in sales meeting planning and coordination of event space and logistics.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • 3+ years proven experience in start to finish tradeshow coordination a must.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and/or Zoom a plus.
  • Adobe Design Suite (InDesign) and/or design skills within PowerPoint a big plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Affable with strong interpersonal skills, maintains a professional appearance and can work with associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated and highly organized individual with a positive attitude.
  • Able to shift projects if/when priorities change.
  • Has integrity and a willingness to exemplify the companys mission and values.
  • Is able to stay focused on work assignments, without excessive distraction with others or personal devises.
  • Ability to lift 40 Lbs.
