Purpose

The Construction Industry Institute (CII) is seeking a passionate and organized individual to join our team and play a key role in our industry-leading events. These events are at the core of CII's mission, bringing together top professionals in the capital project delivery sector. They serve as a dynamic platform for sharing innovative ideas and best practices that drive positive change in project execution - it is networking with a purpose

Responsibilities
  • Forge Strong Relationships: Maintains regular communication with university departments, industry members, special interest groups, and external agencies to ensure program success

  • Drive Improvement: Proactively recommends new policies and procedures to enhance program activities and outcomes. Generates reports and identifies areas for continuous improvement

  • Event Planning & Execution: Collaborates closely with the CII Events Team and CII Event Manager to plan, develop, and coordinate marketing, meetings, events, and conferences. Coordinates speaker logistics, including tracking, contracting, and potentially recruiting. Coordinates vendor relationships, including caterers, hotel/venues, printers, and others. Assists with staffing coordination and ensures smooth on-site logistics during events. May develop and coordinate promotional materials for events. Assists with sponsor recruitment

  • Financial Management & Reporting: Works with CII's Financial Team to develop and monitor budgets, processes event-related contracts, and coordinates staff travel planning. Manages reimbursement for staff, external consultants, and any other relevant participants

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and experience planning and coordinating events.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating large events.

Salary Range

$50,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
  • May work around standard office conditions

  • Occasional travel is required. Extended work hours may be required to meet event deadlines

  • Opportunities for professional development through seminars may be available

Employment Eligibility:
