The ideal candidate will be familiar with hospital operations and capable of working with various department-level functions and internal data sources. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities. Data Management and Mapping: Collaborate with the Vizient Operational Data Base (ODB) Data Team to ensure all implementation deadlines are met. Map hospital cost centers to the ODB tool for comparable reporting departments. Map General Ledger expense sub-accounts and payroll job codes to the appropriate data elements. Collect or manage the collection of all facility cost center-level information. Ensure data elements are reported according to ODB guidelines. Communication and Coordination: Serve as the facility's direct contact for all department manager needs. Complete the data submission by the quarterly submission deadline. Disseminate reports and coordinate/conduct department manager report training. Create employee awareness of the benchmarking process. Serve as the communication link between the hospital and other program participants. Review the ODB ListServ, Program Release Notes, and other communications to stay current in program updates and best practices for data submission and reporting utilization. User and Data Management: Set up and maintain user access to the ODB tool, determining which level of access users will be assigned. Build, save, and export reports. Interpret reports to identify opportunities for improvement. Role Coordination and Support: Work with the Data Associate to identify data collection project requirements. Organize resources for data collection. Enter, finalize, and submit data in the Data Collection module. Identify ODB reporting and training needs. Develop compare groups for relevant benchmarking. Experience with data sources such as:

5+ years (Senior) of professional experience related to Finance and/or Benchmarking 2-5 years (Intermediate) of professional experience related to Finance and/or Benchmarking General Ledger expense and Chart of Accounts. Payroll data summarized by department and job code. Quarterly or Annual Financial Statements. Department Financial Responsibility Summaries. Revenue and Usage Reports.

High-level expertise with Microsoft Excel. Experience with Vizient ODB benchmarking software. Ability to read and analyze data/reports. Strong analytical skills for compare group development and data analysis. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills. Familiarity with hospital operations and a working knowledge of department-level functions and operations. Good rapport with senior and middle-level management. Additional Skills and Attributes: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
