As an Asset Manager focusing on affordable housing, you will play a crucial role in asset refinancing or re-syndication by collaborating closely with the Senior Asset Manager. This position involves developing policies, processes, and procedures while contributing to team expansion. Responsibilities: Business Planning and Asset Preparation: Communicate business plans to property management to ready assets for refinance, re-syndication, or sale. Conduct periodic visits to assess assets. Evaluate community's physical needs and provide recommendations. Market Analysis and Revenue Generation: Develop a deep understanding of local rental markets. Determine market rents, strengths, and opportunities for improvement. Identify additional income-generating prospects. Operational Support and Compliance: Assist low-performing properties until they stabilize. Support due diligence for potential acquisitions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Review budgets, financial statements, and variance summaries. Participate in the annual budgeting process. Perform market analysis, quality assurance reviews, and financial statement assessments. Collaboration and Communication: Engage with various stakeholders, vendors, departments, financial agencies, investors, and lenders. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Collaborate with team members on projects as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required. 3+ years of experience managing affordable housing assets, including LIHTC knowledge. Experience working for a syndicator is preferred. Strong financial skills encompassing budgets, financial modeling, and reporting. Travel will be necessary.
