Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone. Efficiently schedule appointments according to physician availability, patient needs, and insurance requirements. Gather accurate patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring data integrity within our electronic health record (EHR) system. Verify patient insurance eligibility and communicate any potential coverage issues clearly and proactively. Send appointment confirmations and reminders via phone, email, or text message.

Patient Care and Communication:

Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Answer patient questions regarding appointments, billing, and insurance in a courteous and informative way. Effectively triage incoming calls, directing inquiries to appropriate staff members. Manage patient flow in the waiting room, minimizing wait times and addressing any concerns promptly. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments according to established procedures.

Administrative Tasks and Support:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system. Manage the front desk efficiently, including filing, faxing, and data entry. Support other clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed. Ensure a clean and organized work environment, fostering a professional atmosphere. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service or healthcare environment (preferred). Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with EHR software a plus. Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and manage time efficiently. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Positive and professional demeanor with a focus on exceeding patient expectations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
