Vista is looking for a Marketing Automation Associate to advance the firm’s corporate marketing strategies to key constituents including the broader software market, our portfolio of companies, and our investors.
Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Technology Manager, the Marketing Automation Associate will be a key player in our growing marketing technology practice. This strong digital marketer will own a metrics-based approach to stakeholder engagement through digital channels and strategies. This role will be integral to our broader demand generation and go-to-market strategy execution.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional marketer who has experience working with back-end systems to create seamless marketing programs for automated and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and project management skills, ideally with experience in financial services and/or the software industry. They must be a highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for achieving excellence in everything they do who appreciates a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role is based in Austin, TX and is for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end email production process within Marketo: planning, receiving and translating business requirements; creating and organizing production assets; generating audience segments; building, testing and deploying email campaigns, analyzing and reporting results
Ability to track results, find insights from data, and develop actionable recommendations for improvement
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies for email and nurture marketing
Continually gather feedback on and pilot new approaches to improve programs
Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners
Own all executions of the current marketing-technology ecosystem – including, but not limited to: Digital Communications, Email Automation, Website Management, Reporting and Analytics
Partner on marketing KPIs and reporting with focus on uncovering insights and trends to help optimize future programs
Collaborate on strategy with internal stakeholders, the marketing team and agencies to offer subject matter expertise, execution and ongoing management of our marketing technology stack
Qualifications
Progressive experience with Marketo as system of record with Marketo Certification strongly preferred
Experience with evolving marketing technology stacks, managing third party technical experts and partnerships with Vista’s IT organization
Understanding and application of innovative digital strategies and multichannel application to confidently direct a digital-first marketing approach
Appreciation for data-driven decision making, marketing analytics and operational processes as a driver of overall marketing efficacy
Strong project management skills with ability to build collaborative working relationships and understands how to optimize resources to meet objectives
Eye for detail and precision with a business process that yields consistent quality of deliverables
Autonomous, self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity to promote innovative ideas and opportunities to a diverse set of stakeholders across a matrixed organizational environment
Minimum 5+ years of marketing experience with a focus on and progressive responsibilities within digital strategies and technology
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, technology management, communication, business administration or similar field with preference for advanced degrees and education
