Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Uphold SmartBank Core Values & Core Purpose

  3. Independently initiates outbound sales calls and represents SmartBank in the community to expand and recruit banking relationships with individuals, businessperson(s), civic organizations, service clubs and other community organizations with banking needs.
  4. Monitors personal monthly sales efforts, ensuring sales targets and results are achieved.
  5. Manages sales duties for the Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Services (CDARs) and Insured Cash Sweeps (ICS).
  6. Collaborates with Relationship Managers, Market Executives, Regional Presidents, Market Leaders and other bank personnel on the recruitment of deposits accounts and treasury management services and offerings when lending relationships are developed.
  7. Assists with the launch and delivery of specific promotions and pricing strategies for various deposit and treasury management products to drive both sales and profitability.
  8. Analyze potential of markets and develop referral networks in order to locate prospects for deposits and additional treasury management services.
  9. Complies with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements and Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in business or finance preferred
  2. Prior experience in a treasury management, business development, or commercial lending position where deposit acquisition was a top priority required

  1. None
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Excellent customer service skills.
  2. Extensive knowledge of all financial institution policies and procedures.
  3. Proficient level of computer competency including Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook), typing proficient.
  4. Knowledge of basic banking accounting.
  5. Knowledge of error resolutions.
  6. Ability to apply knowledge and sound judgment in decision-making using established guidelines.
  7. Strong math skills.
  8. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  9. Detail oriented and ability to function in a team environment.
  10. Demonstrates ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  11. High level of integrity.
  12. Able to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  13. Willing to accept new ideas and methods and be agreeable to change.
Work Conditions:
  1. Able to routinely stand, sit, bend, and stoop.
  2. Regularly required movements of wrists, hands, fingers.
  3. Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare/inspect documentation.
  4. Physical requirement needed to operate computer, copier, mailer, and encoder.
  5. May be required to travel for workshops and seminars to adhere to federal regulations.
