At this level, employees provide assistance and guidance to partners, contractors, and agencies involved in program implementation; and perform day-to-day program activities including conducting inspections and surveys, assisting in budget development, and participating in or leading public health events. Knowledge, skills & abilities: In addition to those identified in the previous level: Knowledge of individual and community health problems related to public health programs. Ability to work with considerable independence performing a wide range of duties to support the program. Preferred qualifications/skills: This is a highly responsible position requiring the contracted employee to work with a broad range of partners and stakeholders with varying levels of knowledge and expertise. The contracted employee must have strong communication skills. The contracted employee must also be willing to work as a team with staff and other program managers. Proficiency in commonly used office computer programs is also required. The contracted employee should have experience developing training materials, including PowerPoints, handouts, and quizzes. The contracted employee must be able to accomplish program goals. The contracted employee will work with Statewide CHW Advisory Committee. Seek growth and development opportunities, and decide on special projects to pursue. Research, draft and submit grant deliverables and their associated measures. Assure timely preparation of federal reports, program updates, contracts and/or amendments to procure program services. Monitor contracts to assure deliverables are met. Background knowledge of chronic disease and recommended preventative care preferred. Experience working with community partners and coalitions preferred. Experience developing and strengthening internal and external partnerships.
