SSM Health is seeking a skilled Nurse Residency Specialist to create a supportive learning environment for new graduate nurses. As an informal leader, you will coach and mentor nurse residents, implementing system-level guidelines and programming to promote participant retention and socialization into SSM Health.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and facilitate nursing residency classes and experiences at the system and ministry levels.
- Collaborate with preceptors and nurse leaders to ensure progressive assessment and monitoring of nurse residents.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to preceptors and assigned nurse residents, promoting a culture of mutual respect and trust.
- Work closely with clinical educators to ensure smooth transition from student to professional practice role.
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to nursing practice, ensuring patient-centered care.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Three years' registered nurse experience.
