Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Networks SME to work on a 12-month + contract position working hybrid in Alpharetta, GA (with perm conversion possible). The pay rate is $77.60/hour w-2 or $89.92 for a c2c. Open for w-2 or C2C. This position requires working five 8 am - 5 pm shifts per week, with three days onsite and two remote, including mandatory shifts on Friday and Saturday. Candidates will have Sundays and one additional weekday off (of their choosing) and can choose which three days are onsite and which two days are remote. Due to the hybrid work requirement, candidates must be local to metro Atlanta.
This position is a contract consulting opportunity offering a comprehensive benefits package for w-2 consultants that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, 401(k) with matching, weekly payment, and more.
Responsibilities of the Networks SME:
- Prove hands-on Network deployment and operational task expertise focused on the routing domain.
- Implement and manage technologies such as Cisco, Arista, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, and Wireshark.
- Ensure availability for critical execution tasks on Saturdays.
- Utilize skills in Python and Ansible for automation tasks.
- Work independently and collaboratively to achieve project goals and facilitate decision-making.
Requirements for the Networks SME:
- Hands-on experience with network deployment and routing configuration.
- Expert level in Ethernet technologies, IP routing, multicast routing, VxLAN, and network platform knowledge.
- Proficiency in Cisco and Arista switching platforms (Nexus 9000 switches), and various Network OS (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, Arista EOS).
- Experience with network hardware, virtualization, and routing across multiple environments.
- Familiarity with JIRA for project and task management in an Agile-Canban setting.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with network deployment and administration.
- Must have Large Enterpries experience
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CCIE or equivalent.
- Scripting/automation experience using Python/Ansible.
- Knowledge of tools like Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, SevOne.
- Understanding of SDN, SDWAN, DMVPN, and public cloud platforms.
- Financial Services experience preferred
- Strong security focus with experience in multi-tier security architectures and defense-in-depth principles.
