RSVP VOLUNTEER COORDINATORCATEGORY/LEVEL: PSS/5 (11-monthcontract)BASIC FUNCTION: Coordinate efforts to recruit,train, and recognize volunteers. Assist with marketing and public relationsefforts. Serve as point of contact for all volunteers. START DATE: ASAPSALARY AND BENEFITS: Starting salary of $32,000to $37,675 based on experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: An appropriate combination of education and relevant experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to coordinate multiple projects, strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to communicate and interact with adults of various backgrounds, flexible.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree plus 2 years relevant work experience.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:•Develop RSVP volunteer opportunities for adults 55 and older. •Develop and implement volunteer recruitment efforts and materials. Coordinate all recruitment events. •Coordinate developing and implementing training sessions and materials for volunteers. •Maintain frequent contact with volunteers, community organizations, and local school personnel in person, via phone, and written correspondence. •Assist with planning and implementing volunteer recognition efforts and events. •Attend appropriate volunteer meetings and trainings.•Develop marketing materials including program success stories, the RSVP newsletter, and pictures of volunteers.•Coordinate public relations efforts including news releases, social media posts, and speaking engagements with local community groups. •Partner with the NIACC Career Center Coordinator on joint volunteer opportunities and projects such as days of service and recognition.•Attend appropriate meetings with partner organizations (Volunteer Stations). •Partner with the NIACC Volunteer Center Coordinator to develop training and material for partner organizations. •Perform other program-related duties as assigned. •Ability to effectively communicate with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.•Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College, including opportunities for student recruitment.•NIACC Core Principles: All employees are expected to adhere to all NIACC policies and procedures.
