Job Description To undertake the delivery of engineering design packages to the required time, cost and quality under direction of Senior Engineers dependant on design delivery team structure. To provide skilled engineering support in his/her discipline. The location for this role is flexible and can be based at Risley or Sellafield. Main responsibilities

Main Responsibilities forMechanical Engineer: Production of design deliverables (e.g. drawings, reports or calculations) to agreed standards of safety, cost, quality and time. Provide advice and guidance on issues appropriate to their discipline. Keep abreast of developments in their discipline. Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and processes applicable to the role. Essential Criteria forMechanical Engineer: Graduate (min 2:1) in relevant engineering discipline with demonstrable design office experience OR lower professional qualification e.g. BTEC typically gained through apprenticeship) with demonstrable design office experience. Familiar with the application of engineering theory in relevant discipline. Familiar with drawing practice in relevant discipline. Working knowledge of national and international codes, specifications and standards. Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems, preferably Inventor / Vault. Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency). Desirable CriteriaforMechanical Engineer: Familiar with engineering design stages and processes (design reviews, HAZOPs).
