The first spark of a product idea sets the Nike, Inc. Footwear Product Creation team into motion. The team of footwear developers, testers, engineers and designers strive for product excellence. They obsess over shoes, while collaborating, ideating and refining the product's construction, fit and style. They use groundbreaking advancements in technology and sustainable design to accelerate innovation. And they work lockstep with Merchandising, Design, Manufacturing and others to produce the final result: products that reflect the soul of sport and inspire athletes to reach new levels of performance.
As a member of NIKE's Footwear Product Management team, you'll drive all stages of the product creation process, from uncovering sharp consumer and marketplace insights to presenting finalized footwear concepts. You'll be responsible for creating product briefs, analyzing business metrics, researching consumer and marketplace trends, building the line plan, and collaborating with Design, Development & Merchandising teammates to create industry leading sneakers.
Who are we looking for
As our Lead Product Line Manager, Global Football (Soccer) Footwear, you will drive compelling product creation for our Football consumers to launch Nike Football into the future.
This candidate will have a relentless desire to move Football (soccer) boots forward, collaborate to create the future, and bring a commitment to our athletes at all levels. They will demonstrate leadership capability, including the ability to empower and inspire others within the team while hitting key gates and dates. This individual must also have high profile presentation and communication skills as well as experience researching consumer insights and translating that into actionable product solutions.
This role requires a high workload capacity & resourcefulness - no two days are the same
What will you work on
You will be responsible for leading a portion of the Football Footwear line, inclusive of analyzing the marketplace and consumer/athlete insights, briefing seasonal and actionable opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teammates to hit the brief, and presenting the progression of the work through multiple seasonal checkpoints and deadlines. At times, you will need to work with high-level professional athletes as well as players at the grassroots level.
Who will you work with
You will lead the product creation process through key interaction with Innovation, Design, Tech Development, Engineering, Product Testing, Supply and Demand Planning, Merchandising, Brand and Geo leads. You will share work to functions and senior leaders across the company at various points in the creation process. In addition, you also develop and manage relationships with external retail partners and Nike Athletes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years experience in relevant product-related roles
- Footwear Technical Knowledge and passion for product
- Technical Product roadmaps with business features and tech enablers
- Relationship management with professional athletes
- Keynote presentation building and presenting along with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Media Event Presenting and Interviews
- Product Briefing; and Consumer Insights abilities
- Project Management for complex innovations from concept to manufacturing readiness.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
