PGIM Fixed Income has had tremendous success in growing the third-party insurance business, and we are now seeking to recruit an experienced professional with strong client relationship management and service skills, fixed income market knowledge, and experience with insurance asset management to serve as Director, Insurance Client Management on our Insurance Client Advisory Team, based in our Newark, NJ office to service North American insurance clients. Through direct in-person client meetings, phone and email contact, and leveraging the broad resources of the firm, the insurance client manager will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing these relationships. The goals of the role are to retain client assets, strategically identify cross–selling opportunities to grow client assets, and to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction such that clients would recommend the firm to others. The successful candidate will be able to appropriately balance the delicate task of being a strong advocate on behalf of the client while ensuring that the firm’s interests are also met. What you can expect The position has three key areas of focus: Relationship Management Serve as Lead or Secondary Relationship Manager for insurance clients with minimal direction subsequent to a reasonable transition period

Proactively manage and develop relationships with clients with the primary goal of client retention, overseeing all aspects of day-to-day servicing of these critical relationships

Understand and be able to drive conversations internally and with clients’ senior investment staff on insurance asset management including guideline sensitives, duration management, book yield optimization, gain/loss consequences, accounting & capital implications, and reinsurance structures

Investment Support Primary client contact for insurance clients for ongoing investment related activities, including ad hoc questions and access to broader platform

Coordinate and participate in client meetings, including portfolio reviews, Investment Committee meetings, and Strategic Client Annual Reviews (scheduling, attending, notes, follow ups)

Attend relevant Investment Team meetings to stay current on the firm’s macro outlook and key investment strategies and be able to speak to

Day-to-Day Client Management Lead onboarding of new clients and new accounts from existing clients

Coordinate with investment teams, client service and other stakeholders to ensure the client’s needs are being thoughtfully and proactively met. Manage client requests at inception and ensure they are addressed on a timely basis.

Strong knowledge of the investment process for product strategies across asset class coupled with the ability to speak thoughtfully about the capital markets and the impact it may have on client portfolios

Drive efficiency in carrying out the client service role by applying the various systems and tools available

Ensure that all client and contact information is captured and remains current within our CRM system.

Travel as needed to client locations for portfolio or relationship reviews or entertainment events

Give direction to junior team members while providing opportunities for their development

What you will bring Minimum 7 years institutional Client Service experience

Experience successfully servicing insurance clients, with a demonstrated knowledge of industry-specific needs, constraints, and opportunities as mentioned above

Strong relationship and communication skills

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Fixed Income

Excellent client / internal stakeholder management skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and written skills, and an ability to explain involved concepts in a clear and concise manner

Attention to details and processes

High degree of initiative, results orientation, and entrepreneurial attitude

Series 7 and 63 required or earned if not possessed at hire

Bachelor’s Degree

Willingness to travel
