Responsibilities include however not limited to the following:

Position Summary:

  • Combine quantitative methodologies to build optimized performance indicators and develop Fixed Income sector-specific signals
  • Develop, back test, and implement statistics/machine learning models to find investment opportunities.
  • Explore, capture, and evaluate alternative data to gain tradable insights.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Joining the Quant Research team to build out analytical efficiencies and solutions using quantitative methods.
  • Work with the team to expand our data and quant framework. Develop tools to load, process, clean, query, analyze data, and work closely with Technology team to ensure data quality.
  • Design, code, test and implement quantitative models, leveraging data science techniques, in machine/deep learning and NLP.
  • Build accurate documentation for presentation and prosperity.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in mathematics, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or related program with experience in mathematical modeling and quantitative methods
  • 1-3 years work experience
  • A foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP (LLM) modeling
  • Financial/Fixed Income background is a plus

  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills; able to decompose sophisticated problems into manageable parts.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented and with passion for excellence in all areas of work
  • Strong programming skills including Python, C++, R, and SQL
  • Experience and passion for Data Science - machine learning, deep learning, and NLP (LLM)
  • Experience working with database, web-scraping or dealing with alternative data
  • Knowledge in fixed income models and quantitative research a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) a plus
