JANITORIAL & CLEAN ROOM TECHNICIAN (ONSITE)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Janitorial & Clean Room Technician is responsible for performing all routine and specialized cleaning and sanitizing of our biopharmaceutical manufacturing areas in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices ("GMP") and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP").The Technicians are also responsible for keeping our general office, break, and restroom areas clean and orderly.

This position is a full-time role requiring an ONSITE presence 5 evenings/nights per week at our Lynnwood, WA plant which is a cGMP production scale manufacturing facility for our product, Leukine (sargramostim), a therapeutic glycoprotein.

  • Shift:Monday through Thursday - 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Friday - 2:00pm - 10:30pm.
  • Compensation:$25-$28 (DOE) + intermittent overtime.
  • Discretionary quarterly bonus of up to $500 based on attendance and performance for full quarters worked.
  • PTO - 15 days of vacation, 48 hours of sick time, plus 3 personal days, 2 floating holidays and 14 paid holidays over the course of the year.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures that the facility is cleaned in accordance with SOP and GMP requirements and are inspection-readyat all times.
  • Ensures cleaning is done on time on a daily basis and that Plant startup deadlines are metper the established schedule.
  • Performs some services in areas where cleanroom gowning is required.
  • Completes and maintains daily site sanitation documentation.
  • Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions or equipment to Supervisor.
  • Responsible for ensuring cleaning supplies are stocked and available.
  • Scans cleaning log into the online department file location.
  • Adheres to all applicable regulations and requirements including compliance with internal SOPs, GMP, Health and Safety, WISHA/OSHA, regulatory compliance, company policies, and employment-related laws and statutes.
  • Successfully completes all mandatory GMP, Quality, and Compliance training within required timeframes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Required:

  • Able to perform physical work on a nightly basis including sweeping, wet mopping, surface cleaning, and trash removal in laboratory, warehouse, administrative, and cleanroom manufacturing spaces.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand, stretch with hands overhead, bend, walk/stand for several consecutive hours.
  • Solid English language skills, both oral and written, are required for this team-oriented role. Willingness and ability to clearly express opinions and ask questions. Comfortable actively participating in team meetings. Proven ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures required.
  • Possesses the willingness and ability to provide verbal explanations of cleaning procedures to internal auditors if required.
  • Hands-on computer experience including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of GMP facilities compliance standards preferred

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a Janitorial or similar situation required.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a regulated environment where gowning is required strongly preferred.

Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Your salary will vary depending on several factors including your qualifications and experience.
