POSITION OVERVIEW

The Clean Room Maintenance Specialist is tasked with executing both routine and specialized cleaning protocols within our biopharmaceutical production environments, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices ("GMP") and adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP"). This role also encompasses maintaining cleanliness in general office, break, and restroom facilities.

This is a full-time position requiring an ONSITE commitment during evening hours, with a schedule of five nights per week at our manufacturing facility.

  • Shift: Monday through Thursday - 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Friday - 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.
  • Compensation: $25-$28 (dependent on experience) plus potential overtime.
  • Bonus: Discretionary quarterly bonus of up to $500 based on attendance and performance.
  • PTO: 15 days of vacation, 48 hours of sick leave, along with personal days, floating holidays, and paid holidays throughout the year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility in accordance with SOP and GMP standards, ensuring it is always inspection-ready.
  • Complete daily cleaning tasks punctually to meet plant startup timelines.
  • Perform cleaning duties in areas requiring specialized gowning procedures.
  • Document daily sanitation activities accurately.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure that cleaning supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Upload cleaning logs to the online departmental file system.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations, including internal SOPs, GMP, Health and Safety, and employment laws.
  • Complete all mandatory training in GMP, Quality, and Compliance within designated timeframes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks nightly, including sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning, and waste disposal in various environments.
  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to stand, stretch, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this collaborative role.
  • Proficient in following Standard Operating Procedures and providing verbal explanations of cleaning protocols as needed.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of GMP compliance standards is advantageous.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a janitorial or similar role.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a regulated environment requiring gowning is highly desirable.
