Summary Lippert Plant 68 designs and builds electronics for the RV, Construction, and other industries. This role reports to Director of Quality and will be responsible for review of new & existing product assembly processes, conducting process timing / line balancing, and troubleshooting. Identifies cost saving opportunities, troubleshoots equipment, and reports all deficiencies to upper management. Expected to evaluate equipment needs for NPI and provide justification for capex projects as required. Coordinates with front line management for new product release handoff. Provides training to production teams on proper equipment use and maintenance. Work with a cross-functional team to investigate and resolve process issues. Participate in new product DFM meetings. Identify required fixtures, tools, and equipment needed to manufacture new products. Evaluate new fixtures, tools, equipment designs and provide feedback for improvement. Create new production processes and identifies opportunities for error-proofing and improve efficiency. Observe employee and equipment workflows to look for lean opportunities and line balancing. Research new machinery to improve efficiency/reduce labor/improve fallout. Provide justification with data to support ROI when required. Review and approve production documentation (drawings, process maps, detailed processes, etc.) for future products and / or production products. Review reflow oven profile data and adjust as needed Review SPI and AOI data and suggest paste or placement changes. Create/approve wave soldering recipes. Review fallout data from builds and recommend process changes as required. Evaluate test tool functionality and provide recommendations for changes. Perform wave and oven profiling. Create/approve wave soldering recipes. Create/approve wire cutting recipes. Assist in setup and troubleshooting of production equipment. Assist in the PPAP process.
