Job Summary: The Corporate Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department within a government contracting environment. This role includes hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance Management:

Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Recruitment:

Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
Onboarding:

Conduct onboarding, background checks, urinalysis, and employee eligibility verifications.
Employee Programs:

Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
HR Administration:

Perform routine tasks to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Inquiries Management:

Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Disciplinary Actions:

Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Legal Compliance:

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Industry Knowledge:

Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Other Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is required.
Experience in government contracting, Service Contract Act, and Collective Bargaining is required, with no exceptions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
