Responsible for managing all aspects of plant functions on a daily basis to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsible for directing and managing all plant operations with overall responsibility for plant maintenance, product quality, staffing, and other plant activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence, and teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
Build and train a team of supervisors to carry out Company goals and objectives.
Monitor and support team meetings with supervisors of each department.
Oversee and adhere to company hiring and disciplinary procedures to build a culture of trust.
Collaborate with Team Member Services to implement policies that are fair and equitable to all team members.
Oversee training of employees, both on PSU and hands-on department specific.
Manage labor costs.
Work with Production Manager in coordinating product yields to meet sales commitments.
Oversee inventory rotation to assure quality, adherence to regulatory requirements, and uninterrupted production.
Oversee and Monitor HACCP, SQF, and sustainability programs.
Responsible for accommodating plant inspections by state and federal agencies.
Monitor production for quality standards, maximize productivity and limit product waste.
Monitor SSOP’s for clean-up, plant sanitation practices, and conduct monthly internal audits.
Maintain all permits (discharge and storm water) and deal with all agencies.
Monitor designated safety champion for plant safety program.
Oversee plant maintenance.
Procure all production and plant supplies and control costs.
Control and monitor physical inventories.
Approve production, maintenance, logistics and accounts payable.
Maintain export certificates.
Monitor and manage production leads time in timekeeping and payroll systems.
Review and analyze budget and financials period by period.
Review APC and AS400 to monitor production activities.
Oversee logistics for sales operations.
Oversee and track production efficiencies.
Work with the sales team on proper product forms and inventory available for sale; clear all orders.
Lead management alignment through weekly meetings and other solutions.
Work with support office and sales team on long term R&D.
Develop professional networks in the seafood industry.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to our company:
Required
Minimum five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HARPC (HACCP) Knowledge
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Prior experience in the seafood or shellfish industry.
LEAN/Six Sigma Experience
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Prior ERP knowledge (SAP)
