The Opportunity
You will play a vital role in providing tax and audit engagement services to our diverse client base. You will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, conducting tax research, assisting with tax planning and compliance, and working with our non-profit clients on their audit engagement projects.
Your duties will include:
gathering and analyzing financial data for the preparation of simple to moderately complex individual and small business tax returns
ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax documents
Audit Engagement Assistance:
Conduct audit engagements under supervision.
Undertake small, non-complex audits with responsibilities such as pre-audit scoping, risk identification, and preliminary evaluation of the client's internal control structure.
Audit Planning Support:
Assists with audit planning procedures, including audit tests, using the firm's methodology.
Ensures key matters not identified in the planning stage are communicated to the client management team and assists with assessments.
Task Completion:
Completes allocated tasks to a high standard, meeting reporting and auditing standards.
Financial Statement Preparation:
Assists with the preparation of simpler financial statements.
Reviews client-prepared financial statements and other management reports to enhance understanding of various entities and accounting issues.
Client Relationship Building:
Builds confidence in dealing with clients.
Develops knowledge for more in-depth tasks and the ability to handle complex engagements.
Establishes relationships to ensure client retention and growth.
Builds relationships and promotes the firm at every opportunity to facilitate new business opportunities.
