We are looking for an Audit Associate to join our dynamic and expanding public accounting firm, which specializes in audits for non-profit organizations and municipal entities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of the audit process, including planning, risk evaluation, and execution of audit procedures.
- Assess evidence and support clients in the preparation of their financial statements and necessary disclosures.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards.
- Experience in client interactions and proficient in Excel, QuickBooks, and ProSystem fx Trial Balance and Engagement software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Experience in governmental accounting and auditing is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A CPA license is preferred for advanced positions.
- A minimum of two years of experience in public accounting, including financial statement preparation and audits, is necessary.
