To use comprehensive knowledge, and standardized principles, practices, and procedures to maintain various reporting requirements for the University of Texas Police Department. High level supervision for the records team, including coverage of duties in the event of absences. Provide data and information to leadership as needed. Purpose Provide supervision over the records team and monitor workload of staff. Provide high-level feedback to leadership and assist with workload balancing. Responsibilities Provide supervision over the records team and monitor workload of staff. Manage time and workload balancing, stepping in to assist with coverage of front office. Provide annual performance evaluations for Records team. Complete Open Records Requests, gathering all necessary information for compliance. Coordinate and produce requests for data pulls. Front-line quality control check as handled through the Daily Records Review. Data upkeep for all necessary systems, such as RMS, Tableau, Crime View, and others. This could include adding, deleting, modifying attachments and data while maintaining data integrity. Prepare a variety of reports and presentations on crime information, monthly and quarterly reports, department annual reports, and specific statistical/research reports as needed; Present information in a professional and timely manner to police executives, leadership, and other groups on a regular basis as requested. Greet visitors at the front window and assist with connecting them with the correct department, processing their requests, answering their questions, and/or providing the correct contact information and instructions to best suit their needs if applicable in a positive and professional manner. Robust knowledge of reporting requirements; including Clery, Timely Warning, NIBRS, Title IX. Responsible for a variety of reports, including Use of Force, Vehicle Pursuits, Racial Profiling, etc. Build out and maintain Records Handbook. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s in criminal justice, Business, Public Administration, a social science, or a related field. Five years of experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Four years of experience performing data analysis. Data entry/database management skills sufficient to accurately enter data, maintain database, and effectively retrieve information from multiple databases. Proficient in the English language. Must be able to speak, read, write, understand, and respond to written and spoken communications. At least 2 years supervisory experience. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within law enforcement databases. Experience with data analysis, data visualization, and presentation. Experience working with Tableau, CA+, and QGIS a plus. Salary Range $65,000 + depending on qualifications Work Shift M-F, 8am - 5pm, In Office Daily (No Hybrid or WFH) Nights, weekends, holidays, and some severe weather work will be required.
