Reports To: Manager of Sales

Description: Responsible for profitable growth of company business to company business plan goals. Maintain and grow customer relationships at multiple levels/locations of assigned customers. Manage various accounts and day-to-day activities. Support sales management for its strategic planning, reporting and implementations.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the incumbent business at FMC with an acceptable profitable level.
  • Maintain the current incumbent business commercial issues.
  • Coordinate and establish pricing for quotations (change points, MMC, FMC, pre/post production)
  • Provide quotations in a timely manner.
  • Manage and foster customer expectations and relationships.
  • Increase the revenue by expanding to non-incumbent products and/or customer based upon an internal approval and agreement.
  • Manage customer accounts to achieve department and company goals.
  • Maintain and manage pre/post production parts profitability (prototype, trial and service parts)
  • Provide annual sales forecast and history reports for management review as required
  • Provide monthly customer forecast updates to S&OP.
  • Address account receivable open items as provided by accounting department on monthly basis. Track payment terms.
  • Responsible for a commercial side of change management and obtain necessary price change(s) from the customer.
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures
  • Create and maintain competitor list and analysis.
  • Create and maintain market trend(s) for assigned products/customers.
  • Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer
Education:
  • BA/BS for Business/Engineering or equivalent
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience in automotive industry
  • Proficiency in customer specific programs preferred
  • Experience in interior/exterior trims plus
  • Experience in system (i.e. complete module) plus
Training specific to placement in position:
  • 1 year of experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Sales Department required
  • 3 years of experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Sales Department preferred
Skills:
  • Strong organizational, inter-personal, skills
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Team, SharePoint)
  • Attention to details
  • Strategic thinking and planning
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills


Work Environment:

This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands:

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
