MHC has an immediate full-time opening (Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm , with occasional flexibility for attending job/career fairs and/or events) for a Human Resources Coordinator within the Farmington area. This professional level position will be responsible for performing a variety of human resource related duties associated with recruitment/employment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, payroll, unemployment compensation, affirmative action, training, and other related functions as assigned.

Salary, $24.36/ hour. MHC offers a competitive benefits package which includes:

Requirements

The Human Resources Coordinator responsibilities Include:
  • Performs administrative functions such as preparing reports and correspondence i.e. memos, letters, printing/binding presentations and other documents. Making copies, scanning, faxing, and filing. Proofread copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, suggesting appropriate changes as required.
  • Coordinate collection of employee documentation i.e. auto registration, insurance and license information, policy signatory pages as well as collection entry into database systems. Processing of background/DMV checks.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports with accurate filing and database systems. Completes data entry as required to maintain systems.
  • Maintains required Human Resources documentation, specifically but not limited to all employee personnel files according to Federal and State laws and record retention policies.
  • Provide backup support with regards to maintaining and organizing the office environment & supplies which includes kitchen, lobby, copy room, and conference room areas.
  • Complete HR related supply ordering and inventory.
  • Draft and distribute monthly email notifications, coordinates logistical scheduling, and prepares materials for new employee orientations. Coordinates catering orders and Interpreter services as needed.
  • Monitor HR inbox and distribute incoming emails to appropriate employees.
  • Maintains company organization chart, program code listing, and leadership contact list.
  • Update and maintain HR SharePoint forms and files that are available to MHC staff as needed.
  • Assistance with Payroll system maintenance and data entry as needed. This can include, but is not limited to, reviewing and closing timecards, assigning HR required training, coordinating performance management periods and documentation development forms to staff, and other payroll/HRIS functions as needed.
  • Provide support & assistance to Onboarding & Recruitment Coordinator as needed. This can include, but is not limited to, processing background checks; posting and refreshing positions online and with various job sourcing methods, and scheduling interviews.
  • Act in a liaison capacity in collaboration with the training department. Maintaining and updating assigned training administrative portals, and preparation of training materials.
  • Prepare invoices associated with responsibilities listed in a timely manner.
  • Completes and responds to employment verification requests as needed.
  • Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects as assigned. Will work collaboratively with other staff and departments.
  • Assist with internal and external organizational events, as assigned.
  • Participate on committees as required.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Proactively recommend, develop, and implement systems/procedures to streamline workflow issues as identified.
  • Act in a back-up capacity for the Administrative Coordinator including but not limited to Board of Director liaison and CEO support responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to provide effective and comprehensive communication.
  • Proficiency in the use current office and business software such as Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Electronic Medical/Health record software, SharePoint, accounting software, and devices/equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, etc.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid CT driver's license and auto registration and insurance.
